BEIRUT(Palestine Foundation Information Center)Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan told a press conference in Beirut on Tuesday evening that the Israeli occupation continues its barbaric war and blatant aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip amid US and UK support.
The Israeli occupation army has targeted every aspect of life in the Gaza Strip, including hospitals, water wells, gas stations, solar energy, bakeries, schools, universities, mosques, churches, infrastructure, and service institutions, he said.
Hamdan pointed out that the Israeli forces have carried out 25 “massacres” in Gaza in just the past two days. The Palestinians killed during the duration of the Israeli barbaric war on Gaza has so far reached 18,250 people while about 50,000 others were injured, he noted.
Hamdan said Israel has so far failed to take back its captives held in Gaza by armed Palestinian groups, indicating that Israel has failed in one of its major goals of its assault.
Hamdan added that Israel’s military campaign is not only failing to secure the captives but endangering their lives altogether.
“Do not try, as you will not succeed in freeing the captives alive,” Hamdan said. “All you do is endanger their lives,” he said.
The Israeli military operation will have catastrophic repercussions for Israel and on Biden’s reelection prospects, said Hamdan.
The resistance and steadfastness of the Palestinian people failed all Israeli displacement policies, he continued.
The senior Hamas official also stressed that there will be no prisoner exchange talks without a ceasefire.
