Karachi (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A joint gathering of prominent Islamic parties and scholars, held yesterday in Karachi under the banner of Majlis Ittehad-e-Ummat Pakistan, concluded with a statement emphasizing full support for Palestine, urging restraint from foreign agendas under the pretext of peace in Gaza, and calling for the restoration of relations with Afghanistan.

The event was attended by Pakistan’s Grand Mufti, Maulana Muhammad Taqi Usmani; leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman; President of Ittehad Shia Madaris, Allama Syed Hafiz Riaz Hussain Najafi; Chairman of the National Unity Council, Sahibzada Abul Khair Zubair; Allama Syed Fayyaz Hussain, President of Maktaba Fikr; Allama Syed Fayyaz Hassan; Allama Syed Fayyaz Hussaini; and heads of the Central Majlis-e-Amila. Prominent religious figures, including Senator Mufti Noor-ul-Haq Qadri from the Sindh Justice Movement Party, were also present.

The scholars and notable religious figures declared support for the Palestinian people and endorsed the struggle of the nation against the Zionist regime as a religious duty for all Muslims. They stressed the continuation of support for the fighters in Jerusalem.

Despite the so-called Gaza ceasefire plan, Pakistani scholars condemned the ongoing Israeli crimes in Gaza and urged Islamic countries to refrain from sending troops to the region.

Addressing the Pakistani military, the scholars stated that Pakistan must not succumb to foreign pressure under the pretext of peace, nor should it participate in any operation aimed at disarming the Hamas resistance movement.

The religious leaders also expressed concern over the ongoing tension between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban, urging both sides to exercise restraint and prevent adversaries from exploiting the situation. They further demanded that the Afghan caretaker government should not allow terrorist elements to use its territory against neighboring countries.
