Palestinian succumbs to wounds sustained in IOF Tulkarem raid

TULKAREM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian man succumbed at dawn Friday to injuries he sustained after being hit by an Israeli military vehicle in Tulkarem, north of the West Bank.

Local sources reported that Ahmed Awad, from the town of Deir al-Ghusun, succumbed to wounds after an Israeli vehicle hit his car earlier yesterday, bringing the death toll of the ongoing military operation in Tulkarem and its camps to 13 martyrs.

The Israeli army continued its siege and aggression on Tulkarem camp for the 26th consecutive day, which has led to an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, massive destruction, and forced displacement of thousands of people.

Meanwhile, the Israeli forces launched a large-scale raid and arrest campaign at dawn Friday across West Bank cities and towns.

In Tulkarem, the Israeli forces besieged a house in Bal’a town, east of Tulkarem, which led to the outbreak of armed clashes amid large presence of Israeli forces.

The Israeli forces also arrested Birzeit University student Amr Abu Zaid after detaining his family inside their home in Ramallah.

A second university student was also detained from his family house in Surda town, north of Ramallah.

The Israeli forces raided another house in Habla town, south of Qalqilya, in the northern West Bank.

In Bethlehem, the Israeli forces imposed tight security measures and stormed the Beit Jibrin and Al-Azza refugee camps.

Similar raids were carried out in Jalazone camp in Ramallah.
