Palestine Solidarity Conference Declaration: Rulers of the Islamic World Should Sever Ties with Israel

Karachi  (Palestine Foundation Information Center)  In response to the ongoing American and Israeli aggression in Gaza, and following the call from the Palestinian people, Pakistan observed 49 Land Day of Palestine , a Palestine Solidarity Conference held in a local hall in Karachi under the auspices of the Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF).

The event was attended by a diverse group including political and religious leaders, civil society members, educators, lawyers, students, and others.

The speakers at the conference has Strongly condemned the aggression by the US and Israel in Gaza, Yemen, Lebanon, and Syria.

They Urged Islamic world leaders to sever all ties with the “usurper Zionist state of Israel” to provide at least symbolic support for Gaza. They Called for a continued boycott of American and Israeli products.
They Demanded the Pakistani government take a more aggressive diplomatic stance globally in favor of the Palestinian cause.

They Insisted on action against so-called journalists from Pakistan who visit Israel and violated ideology of Pakistan and Jinnah.

They Emphasized political, moral, and financial support to the Palestinian people.

Speakers included Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam (Secretary General, Palestine Foundation Pakistan), Firdous Shamim (PTI Leader), Dr. Meraj-ul-Huda Siddiqui (Deputy Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami), Syed Ijaz-ul-Haq (MQM MPA), Ghulam Rasool Baloch (Former Ambassador), Allama Shabbir Mesami (Shia Ulema Council), Allama Baqir Zaidi (Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Sindh), Allama Qazi Ahmed Noorani (Jamiat Ulema Pakistan), Pastor Emmanuel Sobba (Christian community), Maghan Singh (Sikh community)

Addressing the participants of Palestine Land Day Conference, speakers said that, the Palestinian resistance has awakened global consciousness. Protests and support for Palestinians are growing even in Western countries, indicating a weakening of Israel’s global image.
They Criticized international institutions for failing to stop aggression in Gaza and neighboring countries.

They Urged Muslim rulers to unite and adopt a path of solidarity for Gaza.

They Labeled Hamas (Gaza), Hezbollah (Lebanon), and Ansar Allah (Yemen) as legitimate political and legal movements in the region and they criticised those in Pakistan who label Palestinian resistance as terrorism, calling them enemies of Pakistan’s ideology.

They Cited father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s stance that Israel is an illegitimate state and reiterated that Pakistan will never recognize Israel.

The conference also criticized joint Military cooperation between Qatar and Israel in Greece.

The confernece also condemn the Continued diplomatic and trade ties with Israel by countries such as Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, and Bahrain, calling it a matter of shame and betrayal with two billion Muslims of the world.

Additional participants included many notable political and religious figures, scholars, students, journalists, and civil society representatives, all showing strong solidarity with the Palestinian cause induing Muhammad Hussain Mehnati, Allama Aqeel Anjum, Israr Abbasi, journalist Khalid Mahmood, Bashir Saduzai, Former Member of Sindh Assembly Major (R) Qamar Abbas, Dr. Zeeshan Iqbal, Mufti Murtaza Rahmani, Maulana Razi Haider, Maulana Mukhtar Emami, Maulana Malik Ghulam Abbas, Maulana Hayat Abbas, Maulana Safir Naqvi, Mufti Muhammad Dawood, Mufti Abdul Majeed, Shahzad Mazhar, Allama Baqir Hussain, Adnan Bhatti, Ibrahim Chitrali, Khalid Rao, Iram Butt, Khalida Iqbal, Mufti Ali Murtaza, Allama Mubashir Hassan, Pir Syed Ashrafi, Pir Moaz Nizami, Abdul Waheed Younis, Shoukat Mughal Qadri, Advocate Malik Tahir, Aslam Farooqi, Nasir Hussaini, Abbas Kashmiri, APMSO, Asgharia students and ISO officials and young students participated in large numbers.
