OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian man was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) gunfire on Monday afternoon after attempting to carry out a stabbing operation near Hizma checkpoint, northeast of Jerusalem.
Hebrew media reported that IOF blocked traffic in the vicinity of the checkpoint after opening fire at the Palestinian man who attempted to carry out a stabbing attack.
Following the incident, the IOF deployed reinforcements and encircled the site.
The Hamas Movement said the stabbing attack “is a natural response to the Israeli war of extermination against our people in the Gaza Strip, the displacement plans in the occupied West Bank, and the settlers’ violations and attacks.”
Hamas called for escalating resistance operations and clashes with IOF until the defeat of occupation.
