Palestinian Child Killed, Two Injured in West Bank

A Palestinian child was pronounced dead on Tuesday evening after weeks of battling critical injuries sustained when Israeli forces attacked olive harvesters near Beita town, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

According to local sources, 13-year-old Aysam Mualla had been receiving treatment at a hospital in Nablus after suffering severe complications from tear gas inhalation nearly 31 days ago.

He was exposed to the gas while collecting olives with his family from their grove near Mount Qammas in the town.

This brings the total number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks in the West Bank since the beginning of this year to 236, including 43 children and 6 women.

In another incident, a young girl sustained injuries on Tuesday evening after being assaulted and detained by Israeli soldiers at the entrance of al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of al-Khalil in the southern West Bank.

Local sources said that Israeli forces detained Aya Jaber, a young girl from al-Khalil City, at the entrance of al-Fawwar camp, where they interrogated her and assaulted her.

The sources added that the soldiers later released her, and she was transferred to Dura Hospital after suffering multiple contusions.

Another young man was also injured when Israeli forces opened fire at Palestinian youths during skirmishes with them in Aqaba town, north of Tubas.

The Red Crescent said that its paramedics in Tubas provided the wounded young man with first aid before transferring him to the hospital for further treatment.

The clashes erupted after Israeli forces stormed Tubas City and Aqaba town, where they fired live ammunition and stun grenades at local youths who responded by throwing stones.
