AL-KHALIL (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian elderly man was injured on Sunday when a horde of extremist Jewish settlers assaulted him in the Old City of al-Khalil in the south of the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, extremist settlers beat 64-year-old Abdul-Aziz ash-Shantir in his store in Jaber neighborhood in the Old City, injuring him in his head.
In a separate incident, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the fourth consecutive day, to bulldoze vast tracts of Palestinian-owned land and destroy trees in Wadi al-Matwi area, which is located between Salfit City and Bruqin town.
Local activist Nadmi as-Salman said that the Israeli army had seized these swaths of land and embarked on bulldozing them four days ago in order to build a road for Jewish settlers.
