MOSCOW (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Palestinian factions gathering in Moscow extended their gratitude to Russia for hosting their meetings, as well as for its position in support of the Palestinian cause, stressing that resistance must be pursued against the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
In a press statement on Friday, the factions affirmed their adherence to “confronting the Israeli aggression and genocidal war being waged against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Jerusalem with the US support and complicity.”
The factions also stressed the need for “resisting, halting and thwarting the Israeli attempts and plans to displace our people from their homes in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Jerusalem, emphasizing the illegality of settlement expansion in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council and General Assembly.”
The Palestinian factions rejected any “attempts to separate the Gaza Strip from the West Bank, including Jerusalem.”
They were in agreement on “supporting the heroic steadfastness of our struggling people and their resistance in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, especially in Jerusalem.”
The factions affirmed that “Israeli occupation’s conspiracies and ongoing violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, and Muslim worshipers must be halted especially during the holy month of Ramadan.”
They reiterated their “full support for the brave women and men who are held captive in Israeli prisons and are subjected to various forms of torture and oppression”, pledging to exert “every possible effort to liberate them from Israeli custody.”
The factions demanded “the protection of UNRWA for its vital role in serving the Palestinian refugees until their return is achieved.”
