WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian young man was injured on Monday morning after a Jewish settler driving at a high speed ran him over as he was walking on a road in Salfit in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources said that Rajai ad-Dik was crossing a road near the illegal settlement of Barkan in Salfit when a speeding settler car hit him and wounded him.
The young man was rushed to the Martyr Yasser Arafat Hospital in Salfit, where doctors described his health condition as “stable.”
In a separate incident, a horde of extremist Jewish settlers attacked at dawn Shallal al-Auja village in the north of Jericho.
According to al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, a group of settlers stormed the village and attacked the local residents and their property.
Hasan Malihat, general coordinator of the organization, described today’s settler attack on Shallal al-Auja as “part of repeated Israeli attempts to forcibly displace the residents of the Bedouin villages from the area, amid official Israeli complicity.”
