NABLUS,(Palestine Foundation Information Center)A Palestinian teenager was killed and another one suffered a bullet injury last night during clashes between local youths and Israeli forces in Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the West Bank.
The martyr was identified as 18-year-old Izzuddin Hafi.
Red Crescent official Ahmed Jibril said that two young men were injured by live bullets in the head and back during clashes in Balata camp and were evacuated to Rafidia Hospital, where one of them was pronounced dead later by doctors.
Jibril added that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained all the Red Crescent ambulance crews who were trying to reach the wounded young men in the camp and took their phones and keys.
Local sources said that the IOF stormed Nablus City and Balata camp, which provoked clashes with local youths, adding that Israeli soldiers raided the Yafa Cultural Center and homes, interrogated citizens and assaulted some of them in the camp.
In a separate incident, a Palestinian young man was injured when Israeli soldiers severely beat him in Azzun town, east of Qalqilya.
The Red Crescent said that the IOF assaulted one of its ambulance crews at the entrance of Azzun town as they were transporting the wounded young man.
