WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A young Palestinian was killed and another one was injured at dawn on Thursday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at a civilian vehicle near the village of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus in the West Bank.
According to local sources, the IOF opened fire at the car for no reason, then imposed a security cordon around the area and banned access to the scene of the incident. The martyr was identified as Khattab Daraghmeh, 26.
The sources said that the IOF kidnaped Daraghmeh as he was bleeding and detained him in the Sahl al-Lubban area before transferring him to a hospital inside Israel, without informing his family or the competent Palestinian authorities about the nature of his injury.
The sources added that Daraghmeh died of his critical injury later, while another wounded young man who was with him in the car was transported by a Palestinian ambulance crew to Martyr Yasser Arafat Hospital in the West Bank city of Salfit.
