NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian young man was pronounced dead on Friday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at him in Salem town, east of Nablus in the West Bank.
According to the health ministry, 21-year-old Omar Shtayyeh was shot in his head during an IOF raid in the town. He was transferred to the hospital, where doctors announced his martyrdom later.
Local sources said that Israeli forces clashed with local youths in Salem town and intensively fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at them.
The IOF also detained a kid for a while in the town and released him later.
Another young man suffered a bullet injury in his thigh during skirmishes between local youths and Israeli forces in Beita town, south of Nablus.
