Palestinian Killed in Israeli Airstrike on Deir al-Balah

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Palestinian man was killed after he sustained serious injuries in an Israeli airstrike on a house belonging to the Al-Jarou family in the Al-Bassa area, near Akila Station, west of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, medical sources reported on Monday evening.

Earlier, the Gaza Ministry of Health had reported that five Palestinian martyrs were transferred to hospitals in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, along with 11 others injured.

Several Palestinians were also wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting a home in Deir al-Balah, as Israeli forces continue violating the ceasefire agreement through aerial bombardments, artillery shelling, and demolitions in the eastern areas of the Strip.

Israeli warplanes targeted a house near Bilal Mosque in the Al-Bassa area of Deir al-Balah, injuring several civilians.

A local source confirmed that Israeli helicopters opened heavy fire east of Rafah and Khan Yunis, accompanied by artillery shelling of eastern neighborhoods. Meanwhile, Israeli ground forces carried out demolitions of residential buildings northwest of Rafah.

Since the fragile ceasefire began on October 10, 2025, 376 Palestinians have been killed, 981 injured, and 626 bodies recovered. This raises the total toll of the genocidal war since October 7, 2023, to 70,365 martyrs with 171,058 injured, according to the Gaza Health Ministry on Monday.

This comes as calls intensify to move toward the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, which includes the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Strip and the deployment of an international stabilization force, as proposed by US President Donald Trump.
