AL-KHALIL, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Palestinian young man was martyred on Sunday after Israeli forces opened fire at him in al-Khalil City in the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, 23‑year‑old Mohamed al‑Sharouf was shot dead at the northern entrance of al-Khalil, with no known reason.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli forces shot the young man in the head and left him bleeding to death at the scene, adding that soldiers took the body away and prevented an ambulance crew from reaching him.
Following the incident, the Israeli occupation army closed all the entrances of al-Khalil City.
Later, the Israeli army justified the crime by claiming the young man tried to carry out a stabbing attack against its soldiers at the northern entrance of al-Khalil City.
