A Palestinian man was killed on Thursday afternoon after Israeli occupation forces besieged a home in the Jabal Abu Dhuhair area of Jenin city in the northern West Bank.
The Israeli army announced that its undercover unit, known as the “Mista’arvim,” was carrying out a field operation in Jenin under what it called “Operation Five Stones,” supported by helicopters providing aerial cover for commando units deployed on the ground.
Simultaneously, an Israeli military bulldozer began demolishing structures around the besieged home amid continued gunfire and troop incursions into the area.
Local sources reported that two young men were trapped inside a house in the Jabal Abu Dhuhair neighborhood, as Israeli forces maintained a heavy military deployment surrounding the location.
Witnesses described intense gunfire ringing out throughout the neighborhood as the field operation continued.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces began evacuating nearby homes and deploying additional heavy military vehicles to the area, signaling a possible escalation of the ongoing operation in Jenin.
