GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), One Palestinian was killed, and several others were injured on Monday after Israeli forces opened fire in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, hours after an Israeli artillery strike in central Gaza killed a journalist and two girls.
A local source said an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped a bomb on a group of civilians near Kashko Street in the Al-Zeitoun area, killing Imad Felfel and injuring others.
In a separate incident, another Palestinian was wounded with moderate to minor injuries after Israeli forces opened fire in central Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Earlier, three Palestinians, a journalist and two children, were killed and ten others were injured shortly before midnight when Israeli artillery struck tents sheltering displaced people in Al-Sawarah, west of Al-Zawaida in central Gaza. The victims were identified as Noor Saleh Al-Shallalfa, 17, Salsabeel Anwar Faraj, 12, and Amal Mohammed Shamali, 46, a correspondent for Qatar Radio.
Medical sources said ten additional civilians were injured in the attack and transported to Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat.
On Sunday, four Palestinians were killed, including two who were targeted in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City. A young man also died from wounds sustained earlier by Israeli gunfire in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, while a young girl succumbed to injuries from a previous attack.
Israel has waged a war of genocide against Gaza’s population since October 7, 2023, with US and European support, engaging in widespread killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and mass arrests, while ignoring international calls and International Court of Justice orders to cease hostilities. A ceasefire was brokered on October 10, 2025 but Israel violates its provisions on daily basis.
