WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Palestinian man succumbed to his wounds on Friday morning after being critically injured when Israeli occupation forces shot him in the head during a raid on the village of Odla, south of Nablus.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the killing of Bahaa Abdul Rahman Rashid, 38, hours after he was shot with live ammunition during the Israeli forces’ attack on the village.
According to local security sources, Israeli forces stormed the center of the village and the area surrounding the old mosque, firing live ammunition, tear gas, and stun grenades as worshippers were leaving Friday prayers.
The sources indicated that the surprise raid sparked widespread clashes in the area, resulting in Rashid being shot directly in the head. He later died from his injuries.
Nablus has witnessed a continuous escalation in Israeli raids and repression for weeks, with civilians and residential areas being repeatedly targeted.
