RAMALLAH (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian man was killed on Saturday by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) near Ramallah, while another was injured in the Qalandia camp in Jerusalem, amid fierce clashes that erupted between resistance fighters and IOF in the Balata and Askar refugee camps in Nablus in northern West Bank.
The martyr, whose identity has not been revealed yet, was shot dead by IOF under the pretext of attempting to carry out a car-ramming attack at the entrance of the Ofra settlement, north of Ramallah.
A footage that went viral on social media shows a Palestinian car colliding with an Israeli occupation police vehicle at the settlement’s entrance, with no injuries reported.
On the other hand, a Palestinian youth was injured, early Saturday, by the IOF in the Qalandia camp, northeast of Jerusalem.
Local sources revealed that the young man was shot in the market neighborhood in the middle of Qalandia camp, and he was transferred to hospital, noting that the IOF raided several houses in the camp, without reporting arrests.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses reported that the IOF stormed at dawn Saturday the Balata and Askar camps, east of the city of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.
According to local sources, the IOF broke into the two camps with a military bulldozer, and raided several houses.
The sources added that the IOF also stormed on Friday evening the Thenaba suburb, east of Tulkarem city, with no arrests or casualties reported.
Earlier on Friday, different areas of the occupied West Bank witnessed a series of attacks carried out by the IOF and Israeli settlers against the Palestinians and their property while picking olives, in addition to suppressing anti-settlement marches and detaining some farmers.
