GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Palestinian citizen was killed by Israeli gunfire in Khan Yunis on Thursday, while two others died from wounds sustained in earlier attacks on the Gaza Strip.
According to media sources, a young man identified as Baha al-Fajam was shot dead by Israeli forces in Bani Suheila town, east of Khan Yunis.
Another citizen, Rami Abu Qirshein, was martyred after succumbing to wounds he sustained months ago in an Israeli attack on Khan Yunis.
Former prisoner Basel al-Haymouni, an exile from al-Khalil in the West Bank, was also pronounced dead today after succumbing to injuries he sustained in an Israeli airstrike that targeted him on Wednesday in Gaza. He had been forcibly banished to Gaza several years ago following his release as part of the 2011 prisoner swap deal.
Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on various areas of the Gaza Strip on Thursday morning, while ground forces demolished homes east of Gaza City.
Several raids were also carried out east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, while artillery shelling targeted areas east of Gaza City.
Israeli armored vehicles opened fire east of Khan Yunis, while Israeli helicopters fired towards Rafah in the south and al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Israeli gunboats also opened heavy machinegun fire off the coast of Khan Yunis and Rafah in southern Gaza. Additionally, warplanes carried out another airstrike east of Khan Yunis.
These ceasefire violations followed a bloody day in Gaza, where Israeli attacks killed 24 people, including eight children, three women, and a paramedic.
