NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian young man was martyred and others were injured at dawn Wednesday when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed the refugee camps of al-Ein, Balata and Askar in Nablus province.
According to local sources, Israeli special forces infiltrated into al-Ein camp in western Nablus and opened fire at a car, killing a young man who was standing nearby. The martyr was identified as Uday al-Qatouni.
Israeli forces clashed with local youths in al-Ein camp, opening fire and injuring one in his abdomen and arm. The injured young man was subsequently detained and taken away by the soldiers.
The soldiers also injured a young man after severely beating him, while another one was hurt after falling from a high place.
Meanwhile, the IOF broke into and ransacked several homes, kidnaped a number of citizens and deployed snipers on rooftops of some buildings during its raid in the camp.
The IOF also raided homes and kidnaped two citizens in the refugee camps of Balata and al-Askar al-Qadim in eastern Nablus.
Two other citizens were taken prisoners during an IOF raid in the eastern neighborhood of al-Masaken ash-Sha’biyya in Nablus City.
