AL-KHALIL, (The Palestine Information Centre)A Palestinian young man was pronounced dead last night after he succumbed to a serious bullet injury he sustained when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at him and others in northern al-Khalil.
The Palestinian health ministry said that 20-year-old Mohamed Hammad died of a critical bullet injury in his chest.
Hammad was wounded on Monday when Israeli forces attacked a protest organized in the al-Arroub refugee camp in solidarity with the embattled Gaza Strip.
Another young man was also injured in his leg and many others suffered from their exposure to tear gas during the IOF attack on the protesters.
Hammad’s death raised the number of Palestinians who had been killed in the West Bank since last Saturday to 18 martyrs, including three children.
