A Palestinian teenager was martyred last night after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at local youths in Silwad town, east of Ramallah in the West Bank.
According to local sources, Israeli forces stormed Silwad town late Thursday night and fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at local youths, critically injuring one of them.
The wounded teenager was rushed to Palestine Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. He was identified as 15-year-old Yamen Hamed.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli forces initially prevented an ambulance from reaching him, leaving him on the ground before allowing medics to evacuate him.
