WEST BANK, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)
A young Palestinian man was killed on Sunday evening after being shot by Israeli occupation forces and settlers during an attack on Deir Jarir town, east of Ramallah.
In a brief statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the killing of a young man by Israeli gunfire in Deir Jarir.
Fathi Hamdan, head of the Deir Jarir village council, identified the victim as Baraa Khairy Ali Maali, 20, who was killed during a violent incursion by Israeli forces and settlers into the village.
Earlier that evening, settlers attacked Deir Jarir, supported by Israeli forces, who fired tear gas heavily at residents. During the assault, a young man sustained critical injuries from a live bullet to the chest.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said its medics administered CPR and life-saving efforts before transferring him to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his wounds.
Local sources reported that settlers stormed the village and assaulted residents and their homes, while Israeli forces provided protection for them.
Since the start of the Gaza genocide, the Israeli army has intensified its attacks across the West Bank, including Occupied Jerusalem. According to Palestinian sources, approximately 1,070 Palestinians were killed and more than 10,000 others were injured in the West Bank during the Israeli genocidal war. Over 20,000 Palestinians were also arrested during the same reported period, including 1,600 children.
