QABATIYA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Palestinian youth was wounded by live fire on Thursday evening during an Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) raid on the town of Qabatiya, south of the city of Jenin, according to local sources.
Witnesses said Israeli military vehicles entered the town and deployed in the al-Qahawi area in the town center. Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters, resulting in the injury of the young man.
The IOF has carried out repeated incursions across various parts of the occupied West Bank. These raids frequently spark confrontations and assaults that often lead to Palestinian casualties.
The incident comes amid an escalation in settler attacks against Palestinians and their property, a part of systematic policies aimed at intimidation, forced displacement, and land seizure.
These actions are unfolding alongside Israel’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people, which has intensified violence and repression across Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
