WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A number of Palestinian citizens were reportedly injured as the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued last night and at dawn Saturday its raids and violations in different West Bank areas, especially in Tulkarem and Jenin.
According to Al Jazeera Net, a Palestinian was injured when a tear gas canister hit his neck during skirmishes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Idhna town, west of al-Khalil.
Israeli forces also supported extremist Jewish settlers during clashes with Palestinian villagers in Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil.
Meanwhile, footage circulated on the internet showed Israeli soldiers assaulting a young man with special needs in Dura town in al-Khalil.
In Nablus, the IOF closed the Beit Furik checkpoint and prevented Palestinian drivers from moving their cars.
The IOF also closed the road between Kafr ad-Dik town in western Salfit and Deir al-Ghassana town in the northwest of Ramallah.
In Tulkarem, Israeli forces kidnaped a young man after ransacking his home and stealing money belonging to his family in Dinnaba suburb.
Israeli forces also forced a number of families to leave their homes in Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem, where a violent IOF operation has been ongoing for about three weeks.
Last night, the IOF notified local residents of its intent to demolish 11 homes belonging to them in Nur Shams, where there is already massive destruction.
In Jenin, more IOF reinforcements stormed Jenin City and its refugee camp on Friday.
Israeli soldiers reportedly opened fire at Palestinian citizens trying to return to their homes in Jenin camp, injuring two of them.
The IOF also carried out a large-scale arrest campaign in different areas of the West Bank on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Israeli occupation army continues its large-scale displacement and destruction operation dubbed “Iron Wall” in the northern West Bank, targeting the city of Jenin and its refugee camp for the 40th day, while the IOF raid in Nur Shams camp in Tulkarem has been ongoing for 20 days.
