Five Palestinians Injured in IOF and Settler Attacks

WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Four Palestinian civilians were injured by Israeli forces and settlers’ gunfire during a series of violent raids across the West Bank on Friday evening.

According to local sources, two Palestinians were shot and injured as clashes erupted when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed al-Jalazone refugee camp, north of al-Bireh. One of the injured sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and the other was hit in the leg.

In another incident, a young man was shot by IOF gunfire in the town of al-Ram, north of Occupied Jerusalem. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its crews treated a man who had been shot in the foot near the apartheid wall and transferred him to the hospital.

Additionally, settlers attacked residents and homes with stones in Khillet al-Natsh, east of al-Khalil, injuring a 20-year-old man who was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The IOF also raided the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, where they were stationed near the main entrance gate on the al-Khader-al-Khalil road and patrolled the area on foot. No arrests or home invasions were reported.

Meanwhile, the IOF troops stormed the town of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah, firing live ammunition while patrolling several neighborhoods. No injuries or arrests were reported.

Earlier Friday, a Palestinian youth suffered broken legs after being run over by settlers on Amman Street, east of Nablus. Local sources said settlers entered the area in vehicles, and one of them intentionally ran over the young man. After the incident, one of the settler vehicles overturned, and the settlers fled on foot.

The Israeli army later confirmed the settlers’ involvement in the hit-and-run.

In a statement, the Israeli military said that “a number of Israelis entered the city of Nablus without authorization and ran over a Palestinian, who was injured and transported to the hospital.” It added that “the settlers exited the vehicle and fled on foot,” and that the vehicle had been seized and transferred to the Civil Administration. Several settlers were detained and handed over to Israeli police for investigation.

Furthermore, Israeli forces raided the village of Salem, east of Nablus, deploying several military vehicles and roaming the streets while firing tear gas and sound grenades. They also set up military checkpoints inside the village, inspected residents’ IDs, and searched vehicles.

The reported incidents are part of a broader escalation of settler violence and Israeli military incursions across the West Bank, as tensions rise amid warnings of a deteriorating security situation. Much of the settler violence takes place with the protection or tacit approval of the Israeli army.
