PLF announces month-long solidarity campaign with Palestine, Titled Month of Palestine

KARACHI  (Palestine Foundation Information Center)  The Patron members of Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF) while holding a press conference at Karachi Press Club on Wednesday said that highlighting the Palestine issue is the responsibility of every human being. They said that the month of Ramadan will be celebrated as the month of Palestine. With this title, protests and rallies will be held throughout the country along with solidarity Palestine conferences, while an advertising campaign will also be conducted. They said that the illegitimate Zionist state under the auspices of the United States, Great Britain, and Western governments is committing systematic genocide of the Palestinians. They further said that the governments of Muslim countries are silent and apathetic. The speakers said that the government of Pakistan has also remained silent on the issue of Palestine, which is regrettable, they demand the government of Pakistan and the political and religious leadership to raise the voices for Palestine and take effective measures against the ongoing American and Zionist aggression in Gaza. The silence of the political and religious parties including the government is regrettable and condemnable. From the press conference, the patron members of Palestine Foundation Pakistan, including Muslim Pervez, Mahfouz Yar Khan, Allama Baqir Zaidi, Allama Qazi Ahmed Noorani, Israr Abbasi, Azhar Hamdani, Younis Boniri, Major (Rtd) Qamar Abbas, Karamat Ali, Bashir Sadouzai and Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam spoke.

The speakers strongly condemned the relations of Muslim countries with Israel, saying that today children in Gaza have started dying of hunger and famine, but the governments of Muslim countries continue to supply oil, gas, and food items to Israel. They called upon the Muslim and Arab governments to sever all ties with Israel. The speakers appealed to the learned scholars and grand muftis of Pakistan to issue a fatwa in support of Gaza and the Palestinians.

The participants of the press conference demanded an immediate end to the Israeli aggression in Gaza and said that the United States is responsible for what is happening in Gaza. The speakers said that American and British weapons are been used in the massacre of the Palestinian people in Gaza. Where are the claimants of human rights and democracy? More than 30,000 Palestinians have been killed, including 25,000 women and innocent children.

Addressing the press conference, the leaders announced their support for the regional Islamic resistance movements in solidarity with Gaza, including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah Lebanon, Hezbollah Iraq, and Ansarullah Yemen, and praised the role of all these groups. They appreciated the people’s protests in Europe and Western countries for the end of the aggression in Gaza and paid tribute to the spirit of the people of the Western world. Under the pressure of American and Arab countries, it is not acceptable to talk about any position that contradicts the ideology of Pakistan and the position of the founder of Pakistan. It is clear as day that Palestine is the homeland of Palestinians and Israel is an illegitimate Zionist state for which Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had said that Pakistan will never recognize it.month-long
