OCCUPIED JERUSALEM,(The Palestinian Information Center) The Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom reported on Sunday that the municipality of the illegal Ariel settlement in the northern occupied West Bank has approved a massive plan to expand its industrial area.
The newspaper added that 1,000 dunums of land would be earmarked for the expansion of Ariel.
Ariel is a Jewish settlement in the Salfit district in the central West Bank, east of the Green Line. It was founded in 1978 on land that was seized under the false pretext of imperative military needs and on land that was declared state land, including cultivated farmland of villages in the district and on rocky land the villagers used for grazing their livestock.
