Political and Religious Leaders Reaffirm Unwavering Support for the Palestine Cause

ISLAMABAD (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Pakistan’s political and religious leadership on Thursday reaffirmed that their stance on the Palestine cause remains unchanged and firmly aligned with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, Secretary-General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan, attended the National Ulema and Mashaikh Conventi on in Islamabad on the special invitation of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Chief of Defence Forces.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Gen. Syed Asim Munir presided over the convention, which saw the participation of federal and provincial ministers, scholars, intellectuals, and experts from across the country.

Following the convention, Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam held meetings with a wide range of political and religious leaders, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister Sardar Yousaf, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Attaullah Tarar, Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology Dr. Raghib Naeemi, Mufti Gulzar Naeemi, Allama Shabbir Meesami, Sahibzada Abu Al-Khair Zubair, Pir Haseeb Husam, Pir Sultan Bahu, Mufti Ibaad Mubarak, Sarwat Ejaz Qadri, Allama Tahir Ashrafi, Mufti Abdul Rahim, Allama Ziaullah Shah Bukhari, Pir Saadat Ali Shah, Pir Safdar Gilani, Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, Mufti Samiullah, Allama Sadiq Jafari, and Allama Iftikhar Naqvi, among several others.

During these meetings, Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam briefed the leaders on the latest developments in Palestine and urged scholars and intellectuals to highlight the Palestinian struggle at every platform.

He also met with Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, head of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, and Vice Chairman Allama Ahmed Iqbal. Later, Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam held a separate meeting with former NDU President General (R) Asif Ghafoor to discuss continued joint efforts in support of the Palestinian cause.

Leaders from various political and religious backgrounds assured the Secretary-General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan that their stance on Palestine is firm and rooted in Pakistan’s founding principles. They emphasized that Palestine remains the most crucial issue for the Muslim world and humanity at large, and neglecting it is not an option.
