GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) warned that patients’ lives at Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Yunis are at risk.
The Khan Yunis hospital will run out of fuel in four days, PRCS declared.
It added that the hospital has already run out of oxygen and that this is putting patients’ lives at risk
The besieged hospital is suffering from an acute shortage of anesthesia and intensive care medication, as well as surgical supplies.
The hospital has been under siege by Israeli forces for nearly two and a half weeks and is under constant attack.
In the last 24 hours alone, the PRCS reported that the hospital took fire multiple times from Israeli small arms and vehicles, injuring patients and displaced Palestinians sheltering there.
“Our yard has become a cemetery. Every day, we lose a patient,” a hospital staff member said yesterday.
Since October 7, the Israeli occupation army has waged a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which has left an enormous humanitarian catastrophe and a major health and environmental disaster.
The Israeli occupation destroyed the only supplies of fuel, electricity, water, and food for the people of the Gaza Strip at the start of the conflict by bombing bakeries, factories, stores, water stations, tanks, and other infrastructure.
