Karachi (Palestine Foundation Information Center)A protest demonstration was organized by Palestine Foundation Pakistan at Numaish Chowrangi, Karachi, against the ongoing American and Israeli aggression on Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and Syria, as well as the increasing illegal activities of the Zionist organization Sharaka in Pakistan. A large number of Karachi residents participated in the demonstration.
Key speakers included Dr. Merajul Huda Siddiqui, senior leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan; Asadullah Bhutto; MWM Karachi Division President Allama Sadiq Jafferi; Pir Azhar Ali Hamdani; Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan leader Allama Aqeel Anjum; Allama Qazi Ahmed Noorani; representative of the Association of Mosque Imams, Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi; Mufti Murtaza Rehmani; Allama Ameen Ansari; social activist Khalid Rao; Jafaria Alliance Pakistan leader Shabbir Raza; Pir Muaz Nizami; Tehreek-e-Bedari Ummat-e-Mustafa leader Yawar Abbas; Faisal Ali Baloch from Markazi Muslim League;Naveed Alam of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek and representatives of Pakistan Nazriyati Party.
The speakers strongly condemned the American and Israeli aggression in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and Syria, stating that the U.S. is the root cause of all crises in the region. They said that today, the ugly face of America and its illegitimate offspring, Israel, has been exposed to the world, and humanity across the globe is rising up in protest against these oppressive imperialist forces.
They emphasized that the people of Palestine have written a timeless chapter of resistance with their blood. The speakers also raised concerns about the resurgence of pro-Israel sentiments within Pakistan. They criticized certain journalists and delegations who, under the banner of the anti-state organization Sharaka, are visiting the illegitimate state of Israel, thereby violating Pakistan’s ideological foundations and negating the vision of Quaid-e-Azam, who was staunchly opposed to Israel.
The speakers demanded that the Government of Pakistan immediately take action against such individuals and declare Sharaka a banned organization, placing a complete ban on its activities in the country.
They further urged Islamic countries to take immediate action against the ongoing massacre in Gaza and put pressure on the terrorist state of America to enforce a ceasefire. Gaza has been reduced to rubble, while our apathetic rulers are content with hollow statements.
The speakers stressed that it is our duty to compel our governments to adopt a firm stance against the genocide in Gaza and to officially condemn the U.S. and the occupying Zionist regime. They also called for practical support of resistance movements fighting against these terrorists.
On this occasion, the speakers announced their support for the Gaza Million March scheduled to be held on Sunday in Karachi under the banner of Jamaat-e-Islami and appealed to the people of Karachi to participate in large numbers.
