Gaza, (The Palestine Information Centre)Member of Hamas’s political bureau Hisham Qasem has said that his Movement’s media work is one of the most important pillars of its struggle against the occupation.
In a statement on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian journalist, Qasem highlighted the importance of the Palestinian media’s role in conveying the true national narrative from the Palestinian arena and serving the Palestinian cause at the international level.
“Since its inception several decades ago, the Hamas Movement has realized the importance of its media activity, so it established its media department as an indication of its great interest in this sector,” Qasem underlined.
“The resistance media has succeeded in igniting the spirit of resistance and steadfastness among the Palestinian people at home and abroad … made a significant contribution to the spread of the Palestinian national narrative and the emergence of the boycott campaigns against the occupation,” he said.
The Hamas official appreciated the Palestinian media crews for their great contributions and sacrifices, describing them as “the people who clutch the embers of truth.”
