DOHA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Spokesman for Qatari foreign ministry Majed al-Ansari has said that Qatar received an Israeli proposal for a ceasefire deal “that reflects the principles laid out in US president Joe Biden’s speech” and delivered it to the Hamas Movement.
In a news conference on Tuesday, spokesman Ansari said that the proposal includes now positions from both sides that are closer than before, affirming that there are efforts underway to reach language that is agreed on by both parties.
“We are waiting for a clear Israeli position that represents the entire government in response to the US proposal over Gaza,” Ansari underlined.
“We have read and heard the contradictory remarks that were made by Israeli ministers in this regard, so we are confident that there is still no unified position in Israel regarding the current proposal on the table,” he added.
