GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Three Israeli male captives were released in the Gaza Strip on Saturday ahead of the expected release of 183 Palestinian prisoners, in the fifth swap as part of the ceasefire deal between the Hamas Movement and the Israeli occupation government.
During a televised parade held in Gaza’s central city of Deir al-Balah, resistance fighters from al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas handed the captives over to a Red Cross crew and after they made remarks in Hebrew to a media interviewer.
As was the case in previous prisoner handovers, Red Cross representatives signed documents to receive the captives before taking them in vehicles to hand them over to the Israeli occupation army.
Three Israeli captives, Eli Sharabi, Or Levy, and Ohad Ben Ami reportedly crossed into Israel (1948 occupied Palestine) later after they were transported by Red Cross vehicles to an Israeli military point in Gaza.
In exchange, 183 Palestinian prisoners and detainees, including citizens kidnaped from Gaza during the war, will be freed from Israeli jails later today.
