GAZA, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)The Palestinian Prisoners Soceity (PPS) reported that initial testimonies provided by doctors in the Gaza Strip, following the Israeli occupation’s return of 120 bodies, strongly suggest that many of the individuals were executed after being taken into custody. Some of the victims may have been detained in Israeli detention camps.
The PPS noted that many of the bodies still had hand restraints. Some bore visible marks from blindfolds commonly used by Israeli forces during arrests. The bodies also showed signs of torture, burns, physical abuse, and even being run over by Israeli armored vehicles.
The rights group added that these findings align with earlier medical reports pointing to the theft of organs from martyrs’ bodies, an ongoing practice by the Israeli authorities.
According to doctors who examined the victims’ bodies, these revelations constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The PPS emphasized that throughout the two years of this genocide-level war, dozens of detainees from Gaza have been confirmed as martyred, many of whom remain forcibly disappeared. Some were executed in the field after arrest and before they could be transferred to detention centers.
It further stressed that the crimes continue even after the return of the bodies. There are significant challenges in identifying the remains, especially after the corpses were held for years and months in Israeli morgues.
