KUALA LUMPUR, (The Palestine Information Centre)Al-Quds Foundation – Malaysia on Thursday held a press conference following a consultative meeting for Malaysia scholars.
The conference comes as part of an international event entitled “Call of Ulama of the Ummah to confront the Zionist aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque”.
Participants in the conference reiterated their rejection of the repeated Israeli attacks against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling on all Arab and Muslim countries to boycott the Israeli occupation state.
Meanwhile, the head of Quds Foundation – Malaysia, Dr. Sharif Abu Shammala, warned that the Jewish settlers’ raids into the Al-Aqsa Mosque in addition to performing Talmudic rituals, including blowing the trumpet, are dangerous practices.
For his part, the head of the Secretariat for Ulama Assembly of Asia, Dato Wira Syekh Abdul Ghani Samsudin, called on all Muslim scholars to assume their role in raising awareness of the importance of protecting the Al-Aqsa Mosque against the Israeli desecration.
Dato Seri Syekh Ahmad Awang, Chairman of MANAR (Alliance of World Masaajid in Defense of Al-Aqsa) also called for issuing an international declaration to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing that Al-Aqsa is a red line.
Moreover, Ustaz Wan Subki Wan Salleh, head of the Union of Muslim Scholars in Malaysia, called on the Malaysian Ministry of Education to include the Palestinian history and struggle in the curricula.
Earlier today, the conference was held simultaneously in 15 countries to express the stand of Muslim scholars in support of the Palestinian worshippers and activists at al-Aqsa Mosque.
