AL-KHALIL, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan) The Israeli occupation army has imposed a lockdown and curfew on several Palestinian neighborhoods in the central area of al-Khalil City, claiming they are security measures on the occasion of the Jewish Sukkot holiday.
Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation army notified on Monday evening residents of the Old City of al-Khalil about the curfew in the area, without telling them when it would end.
They added that dozens of soldiers were deployed in the city’s streets, especially in Wadi al-Husayn neighborhood.
The Israeli army also decided to close the Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslim worshipers on Wednesday and Thursday under the pretext of Sukkot celebrations.
