RAMALLAH, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), In the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, a group of young men has erected a Ramadan tent adorned with lanterns and lights to mark the holy month.
In recent days, the tent has also become a gathering place for volunteer guards standing ready to fend off potential settler attacks on their homes and families.
One volunteer said that the tent has become a hub for the town’s young men engaged in night patrols, especially amid the rising wave of settler attacks on Palestinian villages, including Sinjil.
Another volunteer noted that the tent’s goals include strengthening community solidarity among residents, blinding settlers by shining floodlights in their faces, confronting them physically, and trying to prevent them from approaching homes and property.
