DOHA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Member of Hamas’s political bureau Ezzat al-Resheq has described the return of Palestinian citizens to northern Gaza as “the world’s most important event” and “a great historical victory.”
“Today, our people and displaced families are filled with joy as they have returned to their homes following 471 days, and there will be great joy tomorrow when the refugees return to the cities and villages from where they were displaced over seven decades ago,” Resheq said.
“Our great people, with their steadfastness, sacrifices and blood, have foiled the [Israeli] generals’ plan and the goals of Netanyahu’s fascist government, and are now making their return with pride and dignity to Gaza City and northern Gaza,” the Hamas official added.
