GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Member of Hamas’s political bureau Ezzat al-Resheq has said that Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu’s televised remarks on Sunday about a ceasefire in Gaza reflected his real position and his desire to disrupt a prisoner exchange deal and continue his barbaric war on the Gaza Strip.
“Netanyahu’s real position is not about reaching an agreement but about maneuvering to gain more time and continue the genocidal war,” Resheq said in press remarks on Monday.
“It has become clear to the world that Netanyahu is the one who rejects and obstructs the implementation of what came in Biden’s speech and the Security Council’s recent resolution,” Resheq added.
“Netanyahu’s talk about his intent to reach only a partial ceasefire agreement and then resume the aggression confirms that he is lying to the captives’ families and that he does not care about the lives of their children,” the Hamas official said.
“The ball is now in the court of war criminal Netanyahu,” he stressed, calling on the US administration to pressure the Israeli government to stop its genocidal war on Gaza.
