Residents report heightened military activity and widespread detentions.

WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), At least two Palestinian citizens were injured and many others were detained by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Wednesday during raids in the West Bank.

According to local sources, two young men were injured by IOF gunfire in Tulkarem City at dawn.

The Red Crescent reported that its paramedics provided first aid for a 19‑year‑old who sustained a gunshot wound to his leg near Thabet Thabet Hospital.

The Red Crescent also received information about another wounded person in the city, but Israeli forces detained him and prevented its ambulance crews from reaching him.

In Tubas, Israeli forces stormed the town of Aqaba, raiding multiple homes and converting one into a military post. 17 citizens were reportedly detained, interrogated and abused during the IOF raid in the town before being released.

In Nablus, Israeli forces carried out a large-scale campaign in the town of Madama, during which 40 Palestinians were detained, interrogated, maltreated. One home was used as a military post and interrogation center.

Meanwhile, a horde of armed settlers fired live ammunition at Palestinian youths in the Ein Aulim area of Beita town, southeast of Nablus.

Settlers also stormed the towns of Beita and Awarta and attacked Palestinian property, provoking clashes with local residents.

Other settler violence was reported in a Bedouin community between the towns of Ramon and Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah.

In Ramallah, Israeli forces stormed al-Bireh City and different towns and kidnaped a young citizen from al-Mazra’ah al-Gharbiya village.

In al-Khalil, Israeli soldiers reportedly beat a doctor and his father and kidnaped other citizens during a raid in al-Fawwar refugee camp.

Another citizen was taken prisoner during an IOF raid in Dura town, southwest of al-Khalil.

Additional IOF raids were reported in other parts of the West Bank, though no arrests were made.

In northern Jerusalem, Israeli military and police forces intensified their military presence in the town of Hizma, carrying out more raids on homes that involved damaging property, searching cellphones, and stealing gold and money from houses.

The IOF also kept Hizma’s entrances sealed, barring residents from leaving or entering the town, and fired tear gas at those who tried to reach their workplaces outside the area on Tuesday morning.
