NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) An Israeli soldier was reportedly injured at dawn Wednesday when Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire at a bus carrying extremist Jewish settlers in the eastern area of Nablus City.
According to the Hebrew media, the wounded soldier was driving the settler bus on a road in eastern Nablus without any military protection when the shooting attack happened.
However, scores of extremist settlers stormed the eastern area of Nablus City under military escort to perform boisterous rituals at Joseph’s Tomb.
Meanwhile, a Palestinian young man was injured during clashes between local youths and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Nablus City.
Eyewitnesses said that the young man was wounded in his face when an IOF jeep tried to run over him during skirmishes with youths in the western area of Nablus.
Local sources said that Israeli forces stormed Nablus City last night, patrolled its streets, especially in the eastern market and al-Jabel ash-Shamali as well as around the Old City and al-Ein refugee camp.
The IOF also stormed the old refugee camp of Askar and the area around Balata refugee camp and raided homes in the Rujeib housing area.
In a separate incident, a Jewish settler was injured on Wednesday morning during clashes between Palestinian youths and settlers near the illegal settlement of Hashmonaim in the west of Ramallah.
