Rights Group Accuses Israel of Making Gaza Unlivable

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Gaza Human Rights Center said on Friday that Israel is systematically turning the Gaza Strip into an uninhabitable territory by targeting humanitarian operations, restricting aid and destroying vital infrastructure, actions, it said, amount to genocide under international law.

In a statement, the group said Israeli attacks over more than two years have struck aid agencies’ facilities and ambulances and medical teams, violating the principles of distinction and proportionality under the Geneva Conventions.

It added that the campaign against UNRWA aims to dismantle core relief, education and health services for nearly two million Palestinians, effectively pushing residents toward forced displacement.

Since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, an average of 259 aid trucks per day have entered Gaza, about 43 percent of the agreed number, according to the center. It said restricting food, medicine and fuel constitutes collective punishment under international law.

The group also warned that hospitals face catastrophic shortages, with Israeli authorities blocking the entry of generators and spare parts, placing intensive care patients and newborns at serious risk.

The center called on the international community and the International Criminal Court to take urgent action to halt what it described as genocide and crimes against humanity, ensure the safe flow of humanitarian aid and hold those responsible accountable.
