Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, after meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, stated that Saudi Arabia seeks to join the Abraham Accords and establish peace with Israel.
Speaking to the media, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized that promoting relations with Israel is an important step in Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy. He added that joining the Abraham Accords would open new avenues for peace in the region and help safeguard a two-state solution.
He further noted that his discussions with President Trump were positive and that progress was made on defense and economic matters.
The Abraham Accords, mediated by the United States in 2020, established formal diplomatic relations between Israel and several Arab countries, including the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan. Recently, U.S. President Trump announced that Kazakhstan will also join the Abraham Accords, with more countries expected to become part of the agreement in the future.
