JENIN, (The Palestinian Information Center) A 14-year-old Palestinian boy was shot and wounded by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday in Jenin, north of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its medics transferred the boy to hospital after he was struck by Israeli gunfire in the back and pelvis in the Marah neighborhood of the city. His condition was not immediately disclosed.
Local sources reported that a large force of the IOF stormed Marah neighborhood at dawn, surrounding a house and demanding its occupants surrender, while firing live rounds and deploying drones overhead.
Troops were also seen patrolling on foot in several neighborhoods, including the eastern area, al-Sibat, Marah, and near al-Razi Hospital, while obstructing the movement of residents.
The Jenin Directorate of Education announced the suspension of classes in city schools for the day, citing the need to protect students and staff amid the military incursion.
