Hamas: “Al-Ahrar Flood Deal” is a national and historic achievement

GAZA, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)The Hamas Movement has declared that the “Al-Ahrar Flood Deal” is a historic national achievement that embodies the unity of the Palestinian people. The Movement emphasized that resistance and unwavering commitment to the land and national rights are the only paths to liberation, return, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

In an official statement on Monday, Hamas celebrated the successful release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails as part of the exchange deal between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation.

Hamas affirmed that “Benjamin Netanyahu and his extremist clique cannot take away the Palestinian people’s joy over this resistance achievement, forged through blood and sacrifice, which shattered their arrogance and foiled their schemes.”

The Movement added that today’s joy over the release of prisoners in “Al-Ahrar Flood Deal” marks a significant milestone in the ongoing journey toward the full liberation of Palestinian land and holy sites.

It stressed that the testimonies of freed prisoners revealed horrific experiences of physical and psychological torture over the past two years, scenes that reflect the extreme cruelty and fascism of modern times.

Hamas called on international human rights and humanitarian organizations to fulfill their responsibilities by urgently acting to halt Israel’s violations and to ensure the freedom of all prisoners.

At the same time, the Movement highlighted how the Palestinian resistance has treated Israeli captives in accordance with Islamic, national, and humanitarian values, preserving their lives despite the dangers, while the criminal Israeli government continues to subject Palestinian prisoners to daily humiliation and abuse in its prisons.

Hamas reiterated its unwavering commitment to freeing all Palestinian detainees, declaring: “Our brave resistance has kept its promise to our heroic prisoners; this is a promise, a pledge, and a sacred duty.”

Earlier on Monday, Israeli authorities released hundreds of Palestinian prisoners as part of the swap deal connected to the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel. This followed the transfer of 20 living Israeli captives to the Red Cross by Al-Qassam Brigades in Gaza and Khan Yunis.

Palestinian families across Gaza, the West Bank, and Occupied Jerusalem celebrated the return of the freed detainees in an outpouring of joy, a rare moment of hope and emotional relief after two years of devastating genocide in the Gaza Strip.
