GAZA, (The Palestinian Information Center) Gaza’s Government Media Office (GMO) reported on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation army has killed 1,100 people during its assault on Gaza City over the past three weeks and detonated more than 100 booby-trapped robots in residential neighborhoods.
In a statement, the GMO explained that since August 13, the Israeli occupation army launched a new criminal ground operation inside Gaza City, during which it committed a series of genocidal crimes against Palestinian families and densely populated neighborhoods.
It noted that, as part of a systematic crime of forced displacement, the occupation army forced residents of Gaza City and the north to evacuate, while simultaneously detonating more than 100 explosive-laden robots in crowded streets and alleyways, and carrying out more than 70 direct airstrikes with fighter jets.
According to the GMO, these crimes have resulted in 1,100 martyrs and 6,008 injuries, in horrific and brutal scenes, an average of more than 52 martyrs and over 285 injuries per day, coinciding with the total collapse of the health system due to the occupation army’s deliberate attacks against it.
The GMO strongly condemned these compounded crimes, holding Israel, the US administration, and the countries complicit in the genocide fully responsible. It stressed that these violations constitute a blatant breach of international humanitarian law and all international conventions.
It called on the international community and all human rights and legal institutions worldwide to take urgent, serious, and binding measures to stop this genocide against civilians, and to bring the Israeli war criminals to justice as perpetrators of war crimes.
