GAZA, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued their genocidal assault on the Gaza Strip killing 106 Palestinians in 143 air and artillery strikes over the past 72 hours, including journalist Inas Azmi Ramadan, whose martyrdom brings the number of slain media workers in Gaza to 255 since the beginning of the war.
The Palestinian journalist Inas Ramadan was martyred on Monday following an Israeli bombardment targeting the Al-Nasr neighborhood in Gaza City. The Palestinian official media confirmed her martyrdom and mourned her as one of its dedicated correspondents.
According to a statement by the Palestinian official media, the killing of Ramadan raises the number of journalists from its network killed since the beginning of the war to 24. Earlier Monday, Al-Nasr neighborhood in western Gaza witnessed heavy shelling and gunfire from the IOF, targeting civilian homes.
The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza said that despite calls for a ceasefire, including calls from US president Donald Trump, the IOF continues its campaign of systematic massacres against civilians.
From dawn on Saturday, October 4, 2025, until late Monday, October 6, 2025, the IOF carried out 143 air and artillery strikes across densely populated areas of the Strip, killing 106 Palestinians, most of them women and children, including 65 in Gaza City alone.
The GMO stressed that the relentless bombardment of residential neighborhoods and shelters housing displaced families amounts to an ongoing act of genocide against the Palestinian people. The statement accused the IOF of deliberately ignoring international appeals to halt the war and of persisting in its policy of mass killings and destruction of vital infrastructure.
Holding Israel fully responsible for the escalating crimes, the GMO urged the international community and the US administration to take immediate and concrete action to end the aggression and enforce a genuine ceasefire in Gaza.
