NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center)A Jewish settler shot at and killed a Palestinian man identified as Bilal Mohammad Saleh, 40, in the town of al-Sawiyeh, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The Ministry said in a statement that Saleh died of severe injuries suffered in the chest.
The death toll in the West Bank has amounted to 111 Palestinians in addition to the injury of 1,950 others since October 7.
Meanwhile, Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian farmers and uprooted olive trees in Qusra town to the south of Nablus.
Fouad Hassan, an anti-settlement activist, told the PIC that several settlers from the illegal settlement of Yesh Kodesh attacked Palestinian farmers while picking their olive crops in the southern section of the town. The settlers, who were protected by Israeli occupation forces, hurled rocks at one of the farmers and assaulted him with batons. He was transferred to hospital for treatment.
Hassan also reported that the settlers, who were escorted by soldiers, uprooted 10 olive trees despite the fact that the land is located within Area B that is administered by the Palestinian Authority.
The residents confronted the settlers and soldiers who fired live bullets and toxic teargas causing many suffocation cases among Palestinians.
Other Israeli settlers reportedly stormed Beit Iksa town, northwest of Occupied Jerusalem, and slashed the tires of 10 cars parked near Samuel settlement constructed over the town’s land.
Local sources in the town highlighted that this is the fourth time, since the beginning of October, that Israeli settlers have been wreaking havoc in the area and causing damage to parked cars.
