AL-KHALIL, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli settlers assaulted a Palestinian child in Masafer Yatta, located in the southern part of the occupied West Bank’s al-Khalil district.
The settlers stormed the Hawara area of Masafer Yatta, conducted a provocative tour around residents’ homes, and physically attacked Mahmoud Khalil Hammamdeh, a child who sustained bruises and was treated on-site.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces arrived to protect the settlers and raided the home of an elderly Palestinian man, Adel Hammamdeh.
Settlers also invaded the Khirbet al-Majaz area of Masafer Yatta, unleashed their livestock near residential homes, and caused damage to fields, crops, and property.
January witnessed a significant escalation in attacks by Israeli forces and settlers. A total of 1,872 violations were recorded, targeting Palestinians, their lands, and their property, as part of a systematic policy aimed at forcibly imposing new realities on the ground.
